So much could be written for Super Mario - the game of all games. Millions of people have grown with this game.
Lets check out the storyline first. Princess Toadstool of the Mushroom Kingdom has been kidnapped by King Koopa, a large anthropomorphous turtle-like monster who has the ability to breathe fire. It is up to
Mario to travel through the eight worlds, kill the evil King Koopa, save the princess, and bring peace back to the Mushroom Kingdom.
The gameplay of Mario was unique for its time. It was one of the first third-person games, where you control your character, who is runing from the left side of the screen to the right side. You can also jump, swim, and climb. That novelty made the game so popular. Super Mario NES can be played by two players. If a second player enters, he takes the control of Luigi, Mario's brother.
There are number of items in the game, which you can collect. During the adventure, the player can gather coins, which turn up later in extra levels. The gamer can also get extra life, when he gets 1-Up Mushroom. If you take only a Mushroom, Super Mario grows. The Fire Flower grants him with the ability to throw fireballs at the enemies. The Starman gives Mario a slighty invincibility.
The graphics were remarkable for their time, and the limited color range looks lovely even in nowadays. The musics simpleness raises many old memories...
Super Mario NES is played even today by youngsters, it's a legend that will never die.
